Alaina emailed me earlier today, and I'm posting it on here since it addresses the entire fanbase:

"Hey i got your email from a friend that showed me the fan site that you made for me.. its sooo pretty ha ha. your really good at that ha ha! well I just wanted to tell you that your support has been amazing, and it means a lot to me! I still cant belive all the "fans" (it feels weird for me to be saying that) that supported me through idol. Everyone on idol forums. I don't have an account , but i can count how many time i have wanted to hug every single one you yall. ha ha you guys are absolutely amazing people , and you make me smile everyday! I'm still gonna keep singing and waiting for opportunities to come up ! this wont be the last you see of me! thanks for all you continued support. it means more than anything in the world..

Well, tonight America let 4 more contestants go. Unfortunately, one of them was our own, Alaina Whitaker. I personally think this was a ridiculous decision, she was by far one of the most talented this season, and it's a shame that she didn't get a chance to show it off some more. She had the personality, voice and passion. Alaina was one of the most deserving people on the show, and you could tell by the way she reacted to the news. It was hard not to notice that she wanted this more than any other girl sitting on the stands. This just proves what a show American Idol has become over the years. It's obviously not as much of a voice competition anymore as it is based more on appearance or airtime. This is a devastating time for all of us fans, let's bear through this and hope that only the best from Alaina Whitaker is yet to come! We'll continue to provide you with the latest news on our girl, so keep checking back because this is just the beginning!
